Empar Buxeda (Barcelona, 1981) starts off her research by appropriating material stemming from reality and the scientific method, in order to generate a critical process of knowledge in the art field. In the development of her artistic practice, she plays with materials from both fields in order to address, indistinctly, elements that are sometimes quotidian, sometimes self-referential or collective, with the aim to establish the focus of the attention on the friction between thought and materialization, and making visible realities that are often alien to us.
